Theresa BrothertonAssistant Director Short Term Missions My involvement with TTW goes back to 1991 when I volunteered as a childcare worker at TTW’s first training camp when my daughter was only 8 months old. Since then, I have been involved in different ways, serving on the board for a number of years, helping out in the office, continuing my involvement at training camp, and now serving in the position of Assistant Director of Short Term Missions since September of 2006. My husband Wayne and I live in Mahwah, NJ, and have been privileged to see our daughters Amy, a college sophomore, and Emily, a senior in high school, serve at a number of different locations on missions trips throughout the years. We have already seen how their experiences on mission trips have served them well, opening up their hearts and minds to the amazing ways in which God can accomplish His purposes through them. I am so privileged to have been able to watch this ministry grow through the years to what it has become today, but not lose its focus of encouraging young people to step out and accomplish great things that the world would never expect they could accomplish. |

Debbie AyarsGUTS Program Director for Touch The World Graduating with an Elementary and Special Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University gave her many opportunities to invest in the academic and sometimes personal lives of young people, but not necessarily their spiritual lives. The summer of 2007, Debbie interned at the Abraham Project in Costa Rica. God revealed Himself and made missions come alive in her life as she served children who were abandoned and assisted in the construction of the third children’s home. She is now excited to prepare mission experiences for teens that will move them out of their comfort zones and challenge them in their walk with Christ. |

Nishanth ThomasGlobal Projects CoordinatorNishanth Thomas was raised in an orthodox Christian family, spending most of his childhood residing between Kuwait and India. From the time of his birth, Nishanth’s eyesight was rapidly deteriorating to the point that doctors assumed his forthcoming blindness. Through God’s intervention, a visiting missionary prayed for Nishanth at the age of 10 which brought about complete healing for his eyes. After witnessing first-hand the divine love and power of God, Nishanth committed his life to the Lord. Moreover, the servant heart of the missionary who ministered to him left a lasting impact, bringing forth a personal desire to join in the expansion of God’s Kingdom. |
