Ministry info

Somebody Cares is committed to being a first-responder after major natural disasters. They fill the need for a community-based, grassroots response in times of disaster and crisis by partnering with local churches. Their goal is to see churches—which are the heart of the community— empowered to reach out and meet the needs of disaster survivors by providing essential resources. Pastor Kennedy is the representative for Somebody Cares in Southeast Texas. He, alongside his church, are working tirelessly to help rebuild their community after the devastation from Hurricane Harvey.

What teams will do

Logistics

Teams will stay in the gym of a local church. It is equipped with towels, sleeping cots, linens, and pillows for the team. All meals will be provided by the host.

How do trips work at Touch the World?

In order to set up a short-term mission trip to any of our host locations, we require your team's participation in our 3-Day Missions Training Retreat.

Touch the World is a youth-focused missions organization specializing in training for short-term teams. We equip youth with an understanding of identity, culture, and mission that prepares them to live as sent disciples of Jesus in their everyday lives.

If your group is interested in training and trips, we'd love to connect with you! If you'd like to serve with one of our ministry partners, we'll help you decide which host location is the best fit for your group. To get started, submit an interest form!
